Calibration

  • Equipment Calibration is purely an indication that the instrument was found to be performing within its specification at the time of Calibration, and only at the time of Calibration. It proves that the Equipment is operating to the manufacturer’s Standards.
  • Calibration is a comparison between Measurements – one of known magnitude or correctness made or set with one device and another measurement made in as similar a way as possible with a second device.

  • Although there are exceptions to the rule, most Equipment should generally be calibrated half-yearly/annually or if you suspect that readings may be incorrect or out of specification.

  • For better precision and higher accuracy of test results.
  • Traceability of Measurements and Calibrations to NIST-USA, NPL-UK, and/or to any recognized National or International Standards.
  • Ensure reliability by performing Calibrations in accordance (OEM) Original Equipment Manufacturer Support Services.
